Hibiscus Sabdariffa

Famous in the Asian and African culture, Hibiscus Sabdariffa contians anti-micro bacterial properties that promote bladder and kidney wellness. Hibiscus can acidify and deodorize urine, protecting the bladder against UTIs and kidney stone formation.Scientific studies discovered Hibiscus Sabdariffa to contain polyphenols and flavonoids that include bacteriostatic, a bacterial-killing property. Both the flower and calyx of Hibiscus Sabdariffa contain anti-microbial compounds--gossypetin (3,5,7,8,3,’ 4’-hexahydroxy flavones), sambubioside, and proanthocyanidins—that reduce discomfort and prevent Urinary Tract Infections (UTI). In a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, women with history of UTIs had a 77 percent reduction in urinary discomfort because of Hiniscus’ ability at preventing and reducing bacteria found on the wall linings of the bladder.
